AT MOUNT KENYA, remember that this is the highest Mountain in Kenya and second highest in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro of Tanzania with snow capped peak. This is the only perfect place to see the snow any time of the year. It is an ancient extinct volcano, which during its period of activity is thought to have risen to 6,500m. There are twelve remnant glaciers on the Mountain, all receding rapidly, and four secondary peaks that sit at the head of the U-Shaped glacial valleys. With its rugged glacier-clad summits and forested middle slopes, Mount Kenya is one of the most impressive landscapes in East Africa. This mountain is loved by mountain climbers. Climbing Mount Kenya is for those who are adventurous and strong enough to take the 5,199m to reach its peak. The Mountain has three main peaks; Batian at 5,200m, Nelion at 5,188m and Lenana at 4,985m. Mountain climbers must undergo acclimatization before climbing to reduce the risk of altitude sickness. The best Months for climbing are January, February, August and September, for those who wish to savor the Mountain air, the glorious views and the peace and tranquility that emanate from the Mountain. There are many hotels and lodges around the foothills. Mount Kenya is a world heritage site as inscribed by UNESCO.

AT OL PAJETA HOUSE, remember that this is one of the best kept secrets and originally the home of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Khashoggi.
