BAH 060- LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
This national park is located between and Masaka and Mbarara and covering an area of 290 kms and is mainly Savannah with scattered acacia trees. There are five Lake, of which the largest is Lake Mburo created in 1983.Lake Mburo features some of the rare animals e.g. impala, eland, roan antelope, feedback, klipsringer and topi hippos e.t.a. Adjacent to the Mburo is ranches owned by the Bahima tribe who owns the famous Ankole cattle, which are a common sight. This is the only park where visitors are allowed to walk through (accompanied by a ranger), optional game drives, and canoes (either paddled or outboard-driven) are available on Lake Mburo.
